About Heather

Heather Rushall is an award-winning journalist and freelance reporter for the North Coast Current. She was an editorial intern at AOL Patch, a community-specific online news organization, has previously written for The Daily Aztec and done freelance work for several web-based companies.
She was awarded “Most Innovative Writer” as an opinion columnist for The Daily Aztec in 2011 and was published in a college writing textbook by Bedford/St. Martin’s in 2012.
She is currently seeking a career in print or online journalism in Southern Calif., and has a particular interest in crime, politics and the courts.
Heather has held many positions within her field including Web Editor and Senior Staff Columnist for The Daily Aztec – SDSU’s independent student newspaper. She has also done freelance writing for niche feature websites such as happy-hour.com.
Her journalistic work has been published in print, online and academically, although her first publication was at the age of 12 when her poetry was featured in two mass-produced decorative arts books.










Very Cool Heather! I go to SDSU too and I was just searching for some sort of study guide for the GSP and your blog popped up. I like it. Keep up the good work, I am sure it will pay off. How did you end up doing on the GSP anyway?

The GSP is a tricky exam. I highly recommend taking Nicole Vargas’ prep class. Contact her for information. It is VERY helpful!!!
